Software engineering methodology and its application in a medium scale environment

In the beginning, computers were small and relatively slow; there was a limited number of applications and no trained programmers. Then computers grew and became faster; many more applications were developed and programming became an "art". There were more programmers, more programming languages and more programming problems.
