An assisted living facility for the elderly, League City, Texas

Within the growing context, of social, economical, and political change in this country, architecture has been an impetus for reform and progress in society by demonstrating man's interpretation of the solution.. This desire for change puts fourth a call to the profession to produce a more socially responsive architecture. In designing a more socially responsive architecture, I have chosen to design an assisted living facility for the elderly. This project will provide housing for 150 elderly citizens, who are either singles or couples. This Community will provide a continuum of living arrangements tailored to meet residents' individual needs. These needs range from independent living to assisted living. Residents will be able to move within the community from one type of housing to another, as their needs change. This community will be located in residential area of League City, Texas. In this area, there is access to various commercial services, as well, local community schools in the area.
