Abstract

New studies on brain development reveal that full development of the brain does not occur until an individual’s mid-twenties; this often means that traditional-age college students are more sensitive to high-risk behavior. This article suggests ways in which campus leaders can help reduce students’ risky behavior and also offers information about campus fire prevention and the Amethyst Initiative.
