Abstract

Highlights problems facing the veterans; the Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) role in addressing some of those problems; a little bit about the VA claims process; the creation of my court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims; and veterans' issues in the larger judicial structure. Also shares with you a few highlights from four cases that wound their way to the United States Supreme Court. Concludes with a case that is currently at the court that has a very good chance of being heard by the Supreme Court.
