Abstract

This document is the development plan for the studies program called Outer Continental Shelf Environmental Assessment Program. Its purpose was to obtain baseline information on the marine environmental of the outer continental shelf areas off Alaska to access effects of future oil and gas development in those areas and to protect the environment. The document presents a legislative history of the program explaining the authority to establish the program, the goals and objectives, the technical approach by the agencies involved, research areas, program implementation, data management, schedules, management plan, and the resources to support the program.
