Abstract

The present study was undertaken to explore the glutathione-oxidase like activity of selenite, selenocystamine and diselenodiproprionic acid in vitro and to compare the ex vivo effect of these Se compoimds on two human ovarian tumor cell Mnes. The experimental hypothesis of this study was that both selenocystamine and diselenodiproprionic acid react with GSH to generate superoxide radicals and cause cytotoxicity in human ovarian cancer cells.
