Music creates a mood, a feeling, an emtional response. Music is rhythm. It often flings at the listener bold surprises and underlying themes. This is the idea Leon Russell wanted expressed in the design of his studios and offices, bold surprises and rhythm. Not only did Mr. Russell request but the design almost demanded an external expression of the difference between the function of the office space and the studios.
