Abstract

The guide is intended to assist Texas attorneys in their practice of law. Volume 1 addresses seven common legal practice areas. Part A discusses various business transactions including contracts, patents, limited liability companies, and the Texas Uniform Commercial Code. Part B addresses real estate transactions involving, among other things, deeds, titles, leases, and building construction. Part C discusses the tax implications on business and real estate transactions. Part D addresses organizing and dissolving corporations in Texas. Part E discusses estate planning such as wills, trusts, and gifts. Part F addresses the administration of estates. Part G discusses attachment, garnishment, rent, and numerous other issues related to creditors’ rights and actions.
