Abstract
When preparing wills for clients, attorneys must determine whether a client has a communication challenge and then proceed in such a way so that the communication challenge will not negatively affect the will’s validity. This article offers techniques that will reduce the likelihood of will invalidations for communicationally challenged testators who are visually impaired, hearing or speaking impaired, physically unable to sign, illiterate, or non-English speaking.
