dc.description.abstractthesis statement: It is possible to create a healing environment through design that engages the natural and social environments through the stimulation of the human senses. facility statement: The project will be an ecological educational and research center. The facility will house a research endeavor that is dedicated to studying and conserving the native plants and wildlife of the Llano Estacado. In addition to the research program, the facility will also have educational programs for the general public to familiarize them with the indigenous ecological systems of the region. context statement: The facility will be located in the southeast corner of Buffalo Springs Lake in southeast Lubbock County. The site is located north of the Llano Estacado Audubon Society nature trail on High Meadow road.
