Society’s dependency on technology has contributed to its becoming the biggest competitor for leisure time. With technology changing the way do everything, including offering us a variety of ways to watch live theatre from home, how can we use this to our advantage and put patrons in seats?

The Craiglisted thesis will explore possible avenues for embracing our dependency on technology and using it to keep theatre relevant to our audiences. The play is about Maggie’s turning to Craigslist to support herself financially and then ultimately watching her online persona and her real life collide. This is accomplished via projections allowing the audience to watch the two worlds simultaneously. The thesis will also discuss ways technology could be used to further audience experience for future productions.
