Initial Consonant Cluster Production in Children with Repaired Cleft Palate

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate consonant cluster production in school-aged children with cleft palate (CP). This study had the following two goals: The first goal was to examine characteristics of consonant cluster production in children with CP as compared to those of children with typical development. The second goal was to investigate the types of error produced (i.e., substitution, total deletion, partial deletion, and distortion) by children with CP.
