Abstract
In 1967, Italian students developed the principles and practices that led to the monumental events of '68. Students occupied faculty buildings and demonstrated in the streets of major Italian cities. Following every events local, national and political newspapers reported to their readers a very well thought out perspective. The perspective given to the reader was the major way many Italians learned of the Italian student movement. Therefore, newspapers played a major role in the perceived memory of sessantotto in the minds of Italians.
