Abstract
Discusses the latest developments in federal civil procedure as applied in the Fifth Circuit. The article summarizes cases affecting forum challenges, sanctions under Rule 11 and discovery conferences and concludes that the Fifth Circuit is moving towards less appellate involvement in pretrial matters and more towards an emphasis on active district court management.
