Abstract

Study of anionic lipid activation of potassium channel KirBac1.1 through implementation of efflux assays, Solid-State NMR, and coarse-grained molecular dynamics. KirBac1.1 serves as a model system that closely mimics eukaryotic Kir channels. Human Kir channels are linked to heart disease, blood disorders, and neurological disorders. This work aims to improve understanding of Kir channels and their related diseases, aiding in future research and treatments for said diseases.
