Abstract
This paper describes the Mexican media industry from the perspective of economics and media management. The study outlines some of the macroand microeconomic factors that serve to understand the offers being made by communications entrepreneurs and the media consumption by the audiences. It is a study that applies the economic theory of the media to empirically describe the current state of the industry.
