Abstract

An ecologic building has an aesthetic identity that is defined by its relationship with its surroundings. By blurring the transition between nature and architecture, a structure becomes an extension of the natural environment. Architecture becomes an inherent part of human interaction, instead of a human imposition on a subservient natural landscape. A harmonious transition between artificial urban and natural landscapes can be developed through architectural prosthesis.
