The effects of intimate partner violence on academic success

Abstract

This quantitative study investigated the effects that intimate partner violence has on academic success. Academic success was measured by examining student self-reported GPA, self-perception of academic ability, self-perception of academic performance and academic stress. Results indicated that students who reported experiencing intimate partner violence were associated with a lower GPA.
