Abstract
A survey of contemporary Fifth Circuit decisions involving criminal law and procedure. Topics analyzed during the survey period include Fourth and Fifth Amendment issues, questions of pretrial and trial procedure, and matters of substantive criminal law. The author finds that the Fifth Circuit largely adhered to precedent in these areas and remained within the judicial mainstream.
