Abstract
Examines the Fifth Circuit opinion on voting rights during the survey period. The decisions covered a variety of issues such as the standard of review and the required proof in voting rights cases, the use of voting age population as the measure of a minority group's strength, the elections that may be examined in assessing a claim of racially polarized voting, and the inclusion of judicial election in the Voting Rights Act.
