Abstract
Polanyi potential plots are used to predict the adsorptive capacities of volatile organic compounds onto activated carbons. The adsorptive capacities of Chemsorb 1000 and Chemsorb 3800 for several volatile organic compounds were compared to that of Barnebey Sutcliffe, an impregnated activated carbon.
