Abstract
Analyzes the most significant criminal procedure cases decided by the Fifth Circuit between June 1991 and May 1992 concerning questions requiring the interpretation of statutory and constitutional limitations on the government's inquiry into whether a violation of (substantive) criminal law has occurred like possession of a stolen firearm, conviction history, and conduct during probation. The article also discusses the Fourth Amendment application regarding exclusionary rule, revocation of supervised release hearings, and non-border checkpoint searches.
